In July of 2019, I was at the Applewood Permaculture Farm in England helping to lead a course with Looby Macnamara and Maddy Harland. While there, Maddy and her husband, Tim, asked if I would like to sit for an interview for the Permaculture Magazine's media channel. During that interview, I told Maddy and the audience what I'd often repeated to different audiences around the world in recent times:
"Everyone in the entire world, all at once, needs to take two weeks off from everything. In the pause, each person would go into nature and connect their senses, experience the life forms around them, and then return to their homes and communities to catch each others stories and deepen the connection experience." Usually, I would go on to say that, "If we all did this for two weeks at the same time, we probably would reinvent the way we live our lives, and the ways in which the world works (or doesn't as the case may be).
A number of people have contacted me in recent days and weeks to remind me that the whole world had indeed taken a two week sit spot, in fact it was even more than that! Maddy sent me this video today, April 24th, 2020. Thank you Maddy & Tim.
